Packer admitted during last month's investigation that the aggressive emails he sent to an unidentified potential investor in Crown Resorts were 'embarrassing' and 'embarrassing,' but blamed his bipolar disorder.
Assistant lawyer Adam Bell SC claims that Mr. Packer has provided no evidence that his medical condition caused the behavior. Emails sent the same day were expressed in 'sensitive and professional' terms.
'The difference was that Mr. X had passed information to Mr. Packer, which was bad news that Mr. Packer didn't want to hear,' Bell said Thursday.

Even after Packer stepped down from the Crown Resorts board in 2018, he remained a de facto director with 'enormous influence' over the company, Bell said.
A majority shareholder protocol allowed Mr. Packer to gain confidential information, which meant he had at least equal access to confidential information as CEO John Alexander and more than other directors.
'In fact, Mr. Packer's access to information was even greater than that of Mr. Alexander,' Bell said.
